Inmarsat IsatPhone Pro - Helpful Hints

Here are a few Helpful Hints for your IsatPhone Pro that may help you out.

Important

After powering on the phone you must wait (1-2 Minutes) for the phone to obtain a GPS fix prior to making calls.  This happens automatically once you extend the antenna.

Dialing Out With Your IsatPhone Pro Satellite Phone

To place a call anywhere in the world:

• Dial 00 + Country Code + Phone Number. For example, to call a US number you would dial 00-1- 10-digit phone number

To call another IsatPhone Pro:

• Dial 00 + Inmarsat Phone  Number (870-xxxx-xxxxx)

How To Communicate With an IsatPhone Pro Satellite Phone

There are a few ways to communicate with an IsatPhone Pro Satellite Phone user. Below are all the different ways to do so:

1. From a US land line dial 011 + Inmarsat Phone Number (870-xxxx-xxxxx ). From other countries follow the rules for dialing an international number. 870 is your country code.
   This is an international call and will be billed to the caller at their long distance rate by their telephone  service provider.
2. SMS Message(Phone) - Your phone can receive on screen messages up to160 characters per message from other IsatPhone Pros and some cellular phones.  From a cellular phone the sender must follow their provider’s instructions.  From another IsatPhone send an SMS to the subscriber’s satellite phone number.  
   Standard messaging rates will apply plus international long distance charges.  International SMS is not available on some cellular phones.
3. SMS Message(Web)* - To send a free SMS visit www.satphonestore.com and fill out the form.
4. Sending an Email - Use the customers IsatPhone Pro Phone Number as their email address. [e-mail]

*The email/phone contact counts as part of the 160 characters allowance.

Voicemail

There are two ways to check voice mail messages from the IsatPhone Pro.

1. Press and hold the “1” key for a few seconds.  Your phone will automatically connect to your Inmarsat voicemail account.
2. Dial 570 and press the green key.

How to Check Your Balance and Top-Up Airtime (Prepaid Customers Only)

If you are prepaid customer you may want to check your remaining balance or top-up your current airtime. 

• To check you balance dial *106# and then press the green key.
  This is a free call.
• To add more time you may call us at [phone] or online at www.satphonestore.com
  (You will need either your SIM Card Number or Inmarsat Phone Number.)
