Setting Up a Data Connection - Fleet One

To set up your data connection, do as follows:

1. From the SETTINGS page, select Data connection.
   
   
2. At Data connection select Enabled or Disabled.
   
   • If you select Enabled, you can start a user data connection, either automatically or manually (see next step).
   • If you select Disabled, you are not allowed to start user data connections on the BGAN network. However, you may still use the tracking function or an external data connection if enabled.
3. At Automatic activation, select Enabled or Disabled.
   
   • If you select Enabled, the terminal automatically starts a data connection.
   • If you select Disabled, you must start a data connection manually from the Dashboard.
4. Select the source of the APN (Access Point Name).
   There are two options for setting the APN. Unless you have special requirements, it is recommended to use the SIM default. You have the following options:
   • SIM default. The APN is taken from the SIM card.
   • User defined. Type in the APN. APNs are provided from the airtime provider.
5. If your APN uses a password, type in the user name and password provided by your airtime provider.
   Note: If you are going to use a static IP address from your SIM card, the user name and password are mandatory!
6. Click Apply.
